Tee 2 Green (Wyndham Championship DFS)

Wyndham Championship

7,117 yards par 70

This is the final week before the FEDEX playoffs start. All year has boiled down to being in the top 125 point standings so that you can compete next week. Check this link out to see the current standings and live projections as the tournament rolls on each day (http://www.pgatour.com/fedexcup/projected-standings.html) No sponsor exemptions will help you next week. Finish 126 and you could find yourself at one of Wyndham’s 8,000 hotels in 77 countries because you won’t be playing golf. A shorter course that will challenge the entire field, look for the guys with accuracy with their mid to short irons be able to put up good scores. Small greens equal not necessarily needing to be a maestro with the flat stick (putter), just get on the green in regulation and put some birdies together. That’s much easier said than done but hey #Theseguysaregood. (check my twitter feed for a few post from the PGA championship…some seriously crazy shots) @FL2drinkminimum.

Inside Glance:

Inside Glance is short and sweet because well, we all know why you are here. DFS players and increasing that pocket green. So, I’ll just leave you with this picture below and say that the Wall of Champions behind the ninth green is honoring the late Arnold Palmer. He was a great golfer sure but always looking to help others along the way including setting up scholarships to help youngsters pursue their dreams. You can’t stop others from saying you can’t do something but you can always prove them wrong. Use it as motivation instead of dwelling on it. You can and will, this week that means putting some extra money in your pocket by listening to my lil bro Tim2Fresh.

Tim2Fresh’ Top DFS Players this week

Looking to finish off the regular season strong, Golf DFS throws a lighter field at us with some strong value plays. Several unknown names in the field this week are looking to make the cut for the FedEx playoffs while some are already locked in and hunting for some top dollar. Let’s dig deep into the roots to find the best High Dollar locks, and those hidden gems for our value plays. It’s time to fill your pockets with some extra green.

Aces Wild

Henrik Stenson  Salary- $11,500

Stenson now has three straight top 20’s and six in his last 9 appearances. He ranks 75th in the Fed ex cup rankings and will be looking to move up as he makes his first trip to Sedgefield in 5 years. Very consistent and in this field he should have no problem with another top 20 finish at the least.

Jason Dufner Salary- $10,400

Pretty decent history at the Wyndham for Dufner with two top 25’s in the last five years. Ranks 22nd in the FedEx Cup rankings and won the Memorial Tournament in early June. Dufner has everything in his toolbox to get up and down at the Wyndham.

Webb Simpson  Salary- $10,000

Making his last 8 cuts shows how consistent Webb has been this season. Very smooth ball controlling player that is better than average tee 2 green as well as putting. He has two top 15 finishes in his last five outings and will look to do it again at Sedgefield where he won in 2011. One of the best golfers from the rough, Simpson ranks 6th in total scrambling. Keep calm and roll out Simpson this week as your value “ACE”

Down the middle

Ryan Moore Salary- $9,600

Moore won here at Sedgefield in 2009 and in 20 total rounds played he is averaging a score of 67.80. If he gets anywhere close to that average this week he will score you plenty of DFS points. He has been playing quite well and just finished last week at the PGA Championship T13. He ranks in the middle of almost every category, so if one part of his game gets hot he can make a huge move.

Bud Cauley Salary- $9,200

Bud has finished in the top 10 twice at Sedgefield including a 10th place finish last year in which he lead the field in total putting. Cauley has had a great season so far as well with five top 10 finishes good enough to land him at #58 in the FedEx Cup rankings. He will look to make another top 10 finish and boost his FedEx Cup rankings in what will be the final event of his 6th season on tour.

Chris Stroud   Salary- $8,600

After two very impressive outings Stroud will look to keep his heat wave going at Sedgefield this week. After winning the Barracuda Championship 2 weeks ago, Stroud came out hot at the PGA Championship was actually tied for 1st heading into the back nine on Sunday. Well he fell off on the back 9 but still managed to finish in 9th place total. He has made a lot of money these past two weeks and isn’t done yet. A lot of people think he will be exhausted and will fall out this week, but I believe he has hit is prime form and will show out again this week.

Chez Reavie   Salary- $8,100

Eight top 25’s on tour this season makes Reavie a must play this week. He is great tee 2 green and ranks 1st in proximity. Great scrambler and putter and should have no problem finishing in the top 20 this week. I’m not counting him out of winning this thing either.

Billy Horschel Salary- $7,700

Chomp it up with this former UF grad. Horschel has been a hit and miss golfer all season. He won the AT@T Byron Nelson in May and then finished 4th at the Fed Ex St Jude Classic in June.  However he also has finishes this season of 150,137,127,123 and 110. So yeah he can be miserable for DFS players looking for value. With boom or bust potential, Horschel is the golfer that could win you some pocket green if he finds a way to “boom”.  Chomp it up!

Graeme McDowell Salary $7,300

I love McDowell at this price as another boom or bust value play. He missed his last 2 cuts but always has a chip on his shoulder and I can see him playing great this week. Very average iron and putting game should keep McDowell around for the weekend and give himself a chance to catch fire. Pin placement will be the toughest outlier for him as he isn’t the most accurate off the tee. If he can stay calm and error free he might be the key to your lineup.

Rory Sabbatini Salary- $7,200

So at this point we are looking for value, value and more value. Look no further than the other Rory everyone has been talking about. With four top 25’s in his last 5 outings, Rory is becoming a serious “force on the course”. He has been Darling spectators with brilliant chips and pitches and a calm demeanor through each hole. Any finish inside the top 40 for Rory this week will give great value at this price, and I think he has all the tools to finish in the top 10.

I play multiple lineups each week to better the odds at winning and I strongly advise you to do the same. Here is my Big tournament lineup. Let’s fill our pockets!
