Week 3: Must Start Studs

Could week 2 have muddled things more then they already were? Well, looks like it did. We are basically waiting for the league to level itself. Right now some guys values are overvalued and others undervalued but I expect week 3 to bring some clarity. We will start to see some consistency this week and will finally be able to locate a middle ground with what to expect from each player. Below are three players who are going to ball this week and that you need to have in your lineup.

Carson Palmer, QB, ARI

A healthy Carson Palmer is a good one and we almost forgot this it seems. Through 2 weeks Palmer has played as well as he could have given the flow of the games he’s been a part of. Palmer could have actually scored more points if Arizona had him throw the ball more but he hasn’t had to with the leads they’ve had. Carson seems to have also brought Fitzgerald back to life, which by the way, I’m on board with the Fitzgerald revival also. With the way the Cardinals offense has been constructed there really isn’t a game you have to sit Palmer in. Play him weekly and don’t worry yourself about it. As long as he stays healthy, Palmer is a top 10 QB this season without question, maybe better.

Latavius Murray, RB, OAK

The Oakland Raiders looked fantastic last week on offense and Murray should get a ton of credit for that. Derek Carr def. had himself a field day but of course the success of these two go hand in hand. The Raiders head into Cleveland for their first road game of the season and the Browns are not a terrible defense. Still through 2 weeks, Murray has made things happen regardless of the outcome of the games themselves. He is catching the ball way more than anyone had expected and his O-Line has been effective up front creating holes for Murray. Not many will start Murray due to him being a Raider so I believe he is a great start for you in both your leagues and in DFS formats.

Julian Edelman, WR, NE

Brady’s connection to Edelman is real and if I’m you I continue to roll with it. Every Patriots game I watch it seems that nobody can gameplan enough to take Gronk and Edelman out of the game. Brady finds Edelman all day long and he makes plays after the catch. He may be small and not the most physically gifted athlete but man can Edelman put a hurting on a defense. He’s not one of the big name WR’s but he gets the job done on a weekly basis with what is usually a very good amount of targets from Brady. Also in DFS formats Edelman is used well with Brady if you are looking to stack your QB with one of his WR’s.
