Week 3: Bench Warmers

If you had a rough week 2 it may not be entirely your fault. You may have made some bad decisions with your lineup yet it’s been a crazy two weeks so you may not be completely to blame. Lucky enough for anyone who has started the season with a slow start, it is still early enough where you have a chance to turn this thing around. Keep the three bench warmers below out of your lineups if you plan on winning this weekend. In your fantasy league or DFS lineups, these guys are certain to sink your ship.

Buffalo Bills v Miami DolphinsRyan Tannehill, QB, MIA

After two weeks Ryan has performed bad one week and good the other. This week, Buffalo is coming to Miami and bringing there agressive defense with them. Tannehill got injured last week, lost Brandon Albert and Lamar Miller is trying to play on Sunday. You know what they say, three strikes your out! I have zero faith in Tannehill this week as all the signs are pointing against him. I do like his WR group, especially Landry, but I don’t see this as a game where Tannehill and the Dolphins can do enough to make him worthy of a start in Week 3.

murraydDeMarco Murray, RB, PHI

Brutal. Literally no other word explains the start DeMarco Murray and the Eagles have taken to start the season. Bradford has done nothing to show he deserves the starting job and the O-Line creates nothing for Murray to make any type of play at all. Not to mention that Murray is dealing with some injuries of his own as he has in the past. You have to find a better option in your lineup this week and keep him off all DFS lineups as he serves no value there this week. Don’t give up on Murray for the season, but Murray needs to be kept as far away as possible from your starting lineup this week.

cookBrandin Cooks, WR, NO

Drew Brees is sitting out this week due to injury and the last time I checked, Luke McCown is not exactly the guy you were looking forward to Cooks to be catching passes from. I love the Verizon commercial that McCown starred in but I’m not a fan of him if I have Brandin Cooks on my team. No need to panic as I expect Brees to come back in a few weeks or less, but week 3 sees Cooks landing himself on the bench is all leagues including DFS. If Brees is out multiple weeks lets see how McCown and Cooks connect this week and we will re-visit Cooks maybe being in your lineups next week.
