Fantasy Football: Week 9 Waiver Wire

BRUTAL. That is the only word you can use to describe the injury report coming out of Week 8. The latest injuries make this Week 9 Waiver Wire report that much more important. It’s been a rough season for RB’s as we’ve watched big names like Charles, Foster & now Bell be lost for the season. We also lost some WR’s for the season just this past week alone in Allen & Smith. Due to all the recent injuries their are plenty of waiver moves to be made. I don’t even want to harp on all of the injuries as it was brutal on many fantasy owners across all of the leagues to have to drop the names mentioned above.

Let’s move onto Week 9 Waiver Wire and get these injuries behind us.

Survival Tip: Don’t ignore the right decision by over-thinking the situation.

Week 9: Waiver Wire Adds

Jameis Winston, QB, BucsThis is a bye week add for Week 9 as Tampa Bay is playing the Giants this week. Brees just assaulted the Giants secondary, and although Winston is no Brees and apparently is a breeze to play the Giants. If you don't have a backup QB, give Winston a chance.
DeAngelo Williams, RB, SteelersThe honorary must add in Week 9 that everyone knows about is DeAngelo Williams. Bell is out for the season, in steps Williams to fill his shoes. If you are #1 waiver wire priority or have the most FAB budget, congrats, today is your lucky day. If you are not one of those two people, look elsewhere.
Jeremy Langford, RB, BearsThis is where you should look if you are unable to snatch up Williams. Forte has injured his knee and Langford is now handed a huge opportunity. Langford won't have the job all season as Forte does plan to return ones he's healed up but Langford has a pretty decent schedule while Forte is out. He will help out a ton for owners who recently lost Foster, Bell or Forte.
Stevie Johnson, WR, ChargersAnother player who you should add due to a starter getting injured. Sadly for the Keenan Allen owners you have lost a very good WR for the rest of the season. Try your best to bandaid your wound by picking up Johnson. His teammate Floyd is a decent pickup as well, but I believe that Johnson slides right into Allen's role while Floyd certainly sees an uptick in targets.
Kamar Aiken, WR, RavensAgain, an injury related pickup. Steve Smith is out for the year so Aiken becomes the #1 WR in Baltimore. Someone has to catch the ball & Aiken becomes the obvious beneficiary. Givens is worth a look in deeper leagues also but Aiken will be more consistent while Givens is more boom or bust.
Stash ReminderDavid Cobb & Tony Romo are once again stash candidates. If you don't already have them and have a roster spot to spare, add them and wait.
