Fantasy Football Census WR Rankings: Top 50 WR PPR

Back again with another installment of the Census rankings. The wide receivers!!! At this point some of you are getting familiar with the Census Ranking. If you’re new to my Census Rankings I’ll attempt to explain. The Census Rankings aren’t your typical Fantasy Football rankings. They’re actually made up of data compiled from all over the nation, globe and industry. Not any given area or “skill set” they’re the opinion of the masses. As I’ve tried to convey in the past they should be used as a tool or guide. They’re not the opinion of one said analyst. As soon as you vote on one poll you’re a part of the Census rankings. Yes you’re an opinion too, because let’s face it that’s really all any one analyst is.

The Census Rankings should be used as a gauge to where a certain player could be drafted. They’re not the lone opinion of myself or anyone person. While doing the rankings I can’t help but notice players that as a group we’ve become low or high on. The hyped and the hated. I’ve noticed a lot of love for the veteran WRs that have changed teams this year. I think we all have our vet WR. Mine is Pierre Garçon, I haven’t forgotten that Garçon lead the league in receptions in 2013 with 113 receptions. Kyle Shanahan made a point to get the WR he wanted as soon as he could. I can’t say that Garçon will lead the league in receptions, returning to the Shanahan offense that he lead the league in receptions in just four years ago holds well. Brian Hoyer should make Garçon a target monster at a fair price. All that said I think the veteran WRs who’ve switched teams are being completely over hyped. Look for a decline of 20%-50% from there last year. I will support this theory. For now I’m trying to say when you draft someone like Eric Decker or Jeremy Maclin, proceed with caution.

I think it’s time we get to the rankings.
